RadioShack, Now a Crypto Swap, Trends Over Profane Tweets

RadioShack, an insolvent electronic devices seller recast as a cryptocurrency platform, is getting unanticipated attention online after its Twitter account took a suddenly specific tone.

The previous tech retail giant’s still active Twitter account started trending on Friday after it moved from tweeting about cryptocurrencies to roasting other users on the social networks platform. ” Got an invoice?” RadioShack tweeted in reaction “Head over to our Antartica[sic] place for a prospective refund.”

After tech magnate Elon Musk tweeted about a SpaceX Falcon 9 landing, the account tweeted, “congrats on the landing of your brand-new huge metal c k elon.”

” Any last words prior to we close the casket?” Twitter user @Mare_Loch tweeted in reaction. “Radio Shack: Yes, a tweet. Please inscribe it on our headstone.”

The RadioShack account responded, “we’ve prepared something unique for you,” and consisted of a picture of marquee lettering utilized to spell “d krash” including the business’s hallmark circle “R” logo design.

RadioShack, when a family name in the 1990 s, applied for insolvency in 2015, ending its then-ubiquitous retail existence. Financiers Alex Mehr and Tai Lopez bought the business previously this year and relaunched it as a cryptocurrency swap, keeping much of its retro branding, reports Fortune publication.
